Visit to the Wellcome Collecion

On Wednesday 9 September CILIPinKent were delighted to host a visit to the Wellcome Collection in London. Research Engagement Officer Ross MacFarlene led a tour of the newly renovated Reading Room, the picture library and the archives.

The Wellcome Library collections specialise in medical science, comprising of objects as well as books. This includes sculptures, paintings, artefacts and manuscripts. Many of these have been digitised and are available to view free online. The new Reading Room is open to the public and is host to a number of events throughout the year.
