Explore the work of the Health Libraries in Kent.

CILIPinKent, the regional Member’s Network for library and information professionals living and/or working in Kent, has put together an event to explore the work of the Health Libraries in Kent.

We will have speakers sharing their experience of working in the Health Libraries Network, in the Library and Knowledge Services across the NHS, at Kent & Medway Public Health Observatory, in Hospital libraries, universities and hospices. It will be an opportunity to discover the range of roles, the breadth of knowledge and expertise in Health Libraries and Information services.

You might also be interested in the blog of one of our new committee members: Nora Camann. Nora has worked as Health Care Librarian at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She posted a number of video diaries last year with the aim to provide an insight to her role and the support her Health Library provided. The event is on Friday, 12 June from 11:00 to 17:00 at the Maidstone Hospital Library. A tour of the Library will also be arranged.

The CILIP South East Member Network AGM will also take place during this event.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

The event is open to both CILIP members and non-members. However, there will be a nominal fee to pay for non-members.
